Maybe that's why some certain metal bands that are split up, don't have their albums available on mp3 or CD?

There were 80-100 new, good, black metal LPs every year from 2003-2014, on my personal playlist for those 12 years. However, there were only 50 in 2015, and only 40 in 2016. Thus, new, good black metal has been reduced back to its level of 1995-2000, around 40-50 of new, good, black metal LPs are released every year.

New good black metal releases have been reduced by half in recent years according to these data. This could be because fewer copies of releases are produced. Top LP's the last few years have had as few as 50 copies made, and many were sold out within a month after release, whereas thousands were made of each release for top LP's 1995-2000, and most releases are still available 22 years later.

Of course these comments are only my opinion and experiences, others could see it another way depending on their tastes and experiences.

Definitely no. Furthermore, it's a great comfort to me that prog-division of metal is not dead too.

No, but so what if 99% of bands sound the same and play the same?
Metal is alive but it is becoming more and more predictable boring.
We have several bands and millions of imitators

Originality is not welcome.
Band must be similar to the one that sells well.
The music industry has killed the art
Now playing metal is a matter of money and fame (but not a need of heart).

Who is the most fashionable and famous?
Let's do what they do and then we sign the contract

How many Behemots,Vaders,Deicides,Morbid Angles we alredy have?
Who needed thousands of cds with the same riffs and texts and sound and rhythms?
