Comparing B & W isn`t correct. While early works of W still delivers because of at least atmosphere, even the best B works they released are of absolutely no interest. Pure dullness.

If by saying ''best B works'' you mean their last 2-4 albums then yes. Maybe there are some decent tracks like ''Lucifer'', ''Alas, Lord is Upon Me'', ''Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer'' but in general it's all totally spiritless and commercial boring crap. Here, indeed first two albums of W or even this one easily wins with B. Maybe for W ''Trident Wolf Eclipse'' is a return to ''Casus Luciferi''?
I wouldn't even compare early B releases with W because it would make no sense. Early Behemoth was a great Pagan Black Metal band till 1997 and after ''Grom'' this band isn't worth to pay attention.

Что развелось - верно, но что Ватейн одна из них ну никак не верно. Потому что Ватейн хотя и играю в общем "типовой" блэк, явственно выделяются мелодизмом своих "средних" альбомов (то, что Чазм в начале треда назвал "Диссекшн метал"). Вопрос нравится/не нравится поднимать не будем, тут важно что это их выделяет "одними из" они точно не являются.

As always, the statement is debatable. The approach to creativity has changed over time, but albums 2000 and 2003 raised the band to the top.
Live performances of the group are always at a very high level. Old and new tracks fit organically.

Насколько я понимаю, нам везут Trident Wolf Eclipse вместе с подборкой старых боевиков, на setlist.fm есть январские листы по Латинской Америке, там примерно 11-12 треков с разных релизов, с нового - Nuclear Alchemy, Furor Diabolicus и Towards The Sanctuary. Скорее всего, эту же программу повезут Австралию и Новую Зеландию и азиатские страны.

Как по мне, все для концертного исполнения все треки с новой пластинки хороши. В некоторых листах по латинкантрис Sacred Damnation есть, а в некоторых нет. Надеюсь, что до нас этот трек довезут. Субъективно, но концертная программа любой группы должна содержать минимум 4-5 новых композиций. Опять же субъективно, некоторых персональных фаворитов мне не хватает, например - Devils Blood, видимо, в другой раз...

On Watain's performance there is a lot of fire, inverted crosses, tridents, rituals so people obviously like it because it most of them are visualizers, even if they don't understand the whole ideology which stands behind this band. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif)

In my opinion ''Satanica'' and ''Evangelion'' are just less boring than all of Behemoth's releases after 1996, but I have heard much better Death Metal. If you like Inferno try Azarath instead or any other Polish underground Death Metal band. There are a lot of them.

Сегодня в Москве в клубе Station Hall состоялся концерт, приуроченный к выходу альбома Trident Wolf Eclipse. Свидетелями презентации стало примерно человек под 800, с учетом возможной вместимости клуба - аншлага не было, но в целом видимость заполненного зала присутствовала и в нем было возможно перемещаться, хотя в какой-то момент воздух действительно стал накаляться - концерт прошел жарко.

Играли без разогрева, может быть я что-то путаю, но в какой-то момент предполагалось, что питерский Pyre составит шведам компанию в обоих городах, но в итоге они выступали только в родном СПб, в Москве же концерт Ватейна ограничился только Ватейном, что тоже неплохо.

Группа привезла с собой не просто украшения для сцены - были настоящие металлоконструкции в виде стального полноразмерного логотипа группы за барабанной установкой метра этак на полтора на два, стальные трезубцы и стальные кресты (как все догадались - перевернутые). Есть фото как его переносят из грузовика, в общем - заморочились. На сцене так же были подсвечники, которые коптили воздух и в целом живой огонь прибавлял +666 к магии происходящего действа. Были и более традиционные элементы украшения - это и флаги по бокам сцены, заботливо разложенные косточки на алтаре Эрика под барабанной установкой, ну и кровь, в последствии освятившая в это Вербное Воскресенье первые ряды слушателей. Парку поддавала и бесконечная сценическая дым-машина. В общем, с оберткой Watain постарались на славу.

Сам концерт длился честных 75 минут и включал в себя 13 композиций, по большей части охвативших последний альбом и почему-то Sworn to the Dark, в меньшей степени остальные релизы. Насколько я понимаю, программа включала в себя идею фигачить скоростные задорные боевички и ... впечатление это действо произвело неоднозначное. Во-первых, абсолютная каша в звуке и полное отсутствие объема. Я достаточно часто хожу на концерты и понимаю, что группы могут строить адекватный саунд, например, на тех же Marduk или Dark Funeral с разницей в месяц и неделю соответственно - в одном и том же зале звук был в разы понятнее. Опять же, мне кажется наши outlaw-герои спецом выкрутили ручки на максимум, чтобы показать насколько они неистовы... В итоге хорошо слушались только редкие мелодичные проигрыши, например, на Malfeitor, в остальных группа намеренно играла грязно и громко. У меня, например, не было желания сегодня отвязничать в долбослэме, но перемещаясь по залу повсеместно натыкался на звуковую кашу. Из новых треков живьем очень неплохо звучат Nuclear Alchemy и Furor Diabolicus, а о наличии в сетлисте Sacred Damnation и Towards the Sanctuary я узнал, подглядывая в телефон какому-то чуваку в центре зала, который сверял треки по фото питерского треклиста, выложенному во вконтактовскую встречу во время каждой паузы...

Впечатление общее на четверочку. Это был хороший рок-концерт, антуражный, эпатажный, но не знаковый и не "вау". Я видел Watain в 2011 году в ХО, видел сейчас. Почти восемь лет назад они произвели на меня куда большее впечатление, это была презентация Lawless Darkness и тогда магия произошла. Для меня это один из самых памятных концертов до сих пор, я счастлив и даже горд, что видел их тогда. Мои, так сказать, фанатские убеждения только укрепились. Но восемь лет это серьезный срок. В этот раз или я был на другой волне, или ожидания были завышены, или действительно за это время группа изменилась. Не накрыло, сколько бы сильно они не били по струнам, не нагораживали декораций и не выкручивали ручки громкости... что-то был сегодня отстраненное в этом шоу... Но многим понравилось и мои суждения всегда остаются субъективными. В моем понимании, Watain хороши в мелодике, в атмосфере, в каком-то порыве вдохновения. А в этот раз дали достаточно рядовой metal с black эстетикой, исполнив по большей части сет из треков, половину которых я в иной год назвал бы если не проходными, то точно не самыми выразительными.

Да, и в очередной раз готов высказать свое авторитетное fublyanah относительно любителей поснимать на свою вcpaтую мыльницу из партера. Сегодня я наблюдал новый вид долбодятла, который снимал на телефон с очень большим экраном (почти планшет!), при этом снимал с двух рук - телефон-то,сука, большой (!) и отчаянно махал башкой аки эпилептик. Наверное, вы догадались, что в итоге снял он все что угодно, кроме концерта, затылки, потолок, пол, балкон. Вроде как организаторы вызывают специальных людей с проф аппаратом, кто потом выкладывает нормальные снимки чуть ли не в ночь после концерта, даже через считанные часы. Ну сохрани ты себе на память эти снимки, или встань спокойно в угол и снимай, ну или в конце-концов сними любимый трек, но не все же час или два. Нет, эти тру блекеры все равно лезут в гущу...

Собственно, уже пару часов спустя на ютубах появляются любительские съемки с места происшествия:

С одной стороны порадовало, что не забыли дебютный альбом, но середину (за исключением Sworn To The Dark) сильно обошли вниманием. Явно не хватало таких боевиков как Devils Blood и Total Funeral. Разгон был угарным с самого начала - Storm of the Antichrist, Nuclear Alchemy, The Child Must Die сразу поставили на уши публику. И до конца выступления не отпускало. Отдельно хочется отметить исполнение Stellarvore, припев прокачал зал на отлично.
Звуком доволен, в центре зала и справа от сцены всё было довольно хорошо. В целом Station Hall радует в этом плане - Cradle Of Filth, Marduk , Dark Funeral и Watain без претензий.
