Отличный альбом, завораживает и уносит в мир звукового психодела. В некоторых местах еще и ОМ мерещится (дополнительный плюс). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

Кстати, есть еще альтернативаня обложка (для ограниченного тиража винила), мне нравится больше основной.

Начать конечно же хотелось бы с музыки, ею же и закончить, но не всегда бывает так, как хочется. Поэтому начнем мы с цифр. 15 лет, цифра немалая, как ни крути. Я в те годы творчеством Sleep не то чтоб не увлекался, а даже не интересовался, от слова вообще.
И как после таких сроков ожидания не назвать фанатов стоунер дума вообще, и фанатов великого трио в частности, самыми терпеливыми в мире людьми? За это время многие из них, я уверен, успели обзавестись семьями, группами, а кто-то, возможно, даже внуками обзавелся, но все они надеялись и ждали этого воссоединения. И вот свершилось!!! Искренне надеюсь, что никого не постигло разочарование и все мы ждали не зря.
Ну вот теперь можно поговорить и о том, чего же мы услышали на столь вожделенном «The Sciences» и в чем отличие от всенародно любимого «Dopesmoker». Первым отличием можно смело назвать длительность, ибо состоящий по сути из одного трека альбом 2003-го года был чем-то умопомрачительным. Но еще он служил своеобразной проверкой на выносливость, ибо далеко не каждому дано выдержать час подобных медитаций. Свежий же релиз получился более разнообразным, да и про «Sonic Titan», трек, который на проскочил в лайв-формате, не забили и включили в нынешний опус уже в осмысленном, студийном варианте. Кроме этих отличий смело можно отметить вокал, отличающийся явно в сторону ОМ, как, впрочем, и ожидалось после сингла «The Clarity», выпущенного в 2014-м году. Звук тоже более отклоняется в сторону медитативных настроений, хотя ОМ в этом плане не превосходит. Да и не надо нам этого, не того мы ждем от данной троицы.
Ну и как итог что можно сказать? Альбом однозначно явил миру именно тот Sleep, который и надеялись мы все услышать после затравочного сингла. Всем ли он придется по душе? Не думаю, т.к. вкусовщина же, но большинство думаю все же примет. Опять же изменения в составе вроде как есть, но я особого отторжения не почувствовал. Оценивать сие произведение искусства я не могу, в топ года их однозначно нужно включить, но, как мне кажется, они однозначно возглавляют его, ибо это легенда оправдавшая все ожидания и надежды на все 100%!!!

Как по мне, этот альбом даже лучший в их творчестве (именно из-за схожести с любимыми мною ОМ). При этом хватает и отличий, из-за чего слушается вполне по-своему, без клонирования. Альбом достоин топа года. (И это без скидок за прошлые заслуги.) Единственно, альбом очень быстро пролетает, сюда бы еще минут 15 хронометража для большего удовольствия.
