This band plays atmospheric and driving (power) metal. These are well produced and in no way overdone songs, the keyboards harmonizing with the guitars and the generally higher voice of David Taylor. The mostly mid paced songs show enough breaks to raise interest.
The album starts with the very atmospheric highlights “Kinescope” and “Funambulism”. The considerably heavier “Scapegoat” follows. “Mad house of Cain” is a scaring acoustic title, tracks 5 and 11 represent semi ballads. “Black watch” speeds things up as a proggie solo filled instrumental (with Mag 9 member Rob Johnson). “Love and Sorrow” bears a slight Psychotic Waltz like feeling. “The gathering” and “Never surrender” are the less memorable songs. The bonus “Violent truth” has a thrashier outfit.
Not a killer debut, but definitely worth getting …

Походу, и правда качественная вещь. Среди референсов называют Queensryche и Crimson Glory.
Кстати, название таки без апострофа: Jacobs Dream (в поиске на Рутрекере это важно).

Сильнейший альбом. Странно, что раньше проходил мимо - видимо, из-за малого количества информации о команде. При том, что играют они в стиле Queensrÿche, Crimson Glory, Lethal - такого американского прог/павера с высоким сильным вокалом
