Считаю, что теме место в формате (что и оформил, в общем то).

Звучит странно. Мне кажется, что на этот релизе Shining решили заигрывать с синтвэйвом в духе последнего Carpenter Brut, только упор сделать именно на ту музыку, что вдохновляла частично CB.

Релиз, без сомнений, нужно переслушать будет со временем ещё пару раз.

UPD: Назвать этот релиз "модерн металом" у меня бы язык не повернулся. Он как раз таки противопоставляет себя во всем данному ярлыку и пропитан ностальгией на 101%

Daale половину моих тезисов озвучил (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Очень странный альбом, Карпентер Брут вспоминается, и да, хочется ставить на репит.
А вот насчет модерновости какой-то парадокс. Ретровэйв со всех щелей прет, но за ним из тех же щелей и нечто современное, где нет не то, что олдовых средств выражения, а даже образа мыслей. Вот, When I'm Gone, по первому прогону, вообще без тени 80-х.

Tular, Не, понятное дело, что тут есть и проблески более современного композиционного построения. Тут сказывается в принципе талант ребят.

Но основная мысль, как по мне, именно, что ностальгия по 80-ым.

Вообще.

На RYM альбом величают альтернативой и индастриалом, и оценивают аж в 1.77 балла. Непонятно, что этим людям надо. Возможно, сменой курса недовольны, но Shining уже жанр раз в третий меняют, а в блэкджаззе они все сказали, на завершающем альбоме трилогии это было более чем очевидно.

Неприлично прилипчивый материал где-то на грани безвкусицы (IMG:style_emoticons/default/1488.gif) Но талант у ребят действительно имеется, что не позволяет им скатиться окончательно. Петь чистым Манкебю (или как там его), конечно, не умеет, но старается как может, про явные отсылки к 80-ым все сказали до меня. И все же саксофон я бы в паре треков добавил.
