Ух ты, мелодик-дэт из Швеции 97-го года образца-выпуска - а я не слышал их раньше! Интересно... Первые две вещи неплохие, но в целом начало альбома меня не слишком впечатлило - берутся старенькие рифы с склада и выдаются нормальные, но не более того, МДМ-композиции. Хотя, опять-таки, может быть, я сужу с позиции дней сегодняшних - в 97-м этим рифам не то что пылиться на "складе", но и самого "склада"-то не было! И всё-таки на первых 5-ти композициях катастрофически не хватает разнообразия ритма, ритмический рисунок слишком однообразен. (Правда, в Where Life And Death Collide весьма эффектно смотрится отрезочек (2:13-3:15).) Совсем другая картина вырисовывается во 2-й половине альбома. Midnight Madness (лучшая!) и The Final Chapter наглядно показывают, что шведы - всё-таки шведы, они не умеют быть неоригинальными! Сразу откуда-то появляется клёвый полный выдумки ритм, чувствуется драйв и т.п. Интересна In The Ashes Of The Fallen - приятная темповая полубаллада. Правда, заключительный акустик-инструментал In The Arms Of Morpheus звучит как-то заштампованно, на мой взгляд, но общего впечатления он уже испортить не может. Альбом, как я и ожидал, оказался интересным - с своими плюсами и минусами, конечно - но интересным. Где-то на 8/10.

Еще один релиз из разряда рекомендованных "underrated Swedish MDM albums", но на этот раз, как оказалось, с на...бом, потому что никакого МДМ тут нет и в помине. Опять совершена распространенная ошибка, когда любой мелодичный дэт тэгуют мелодэтом (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headcrab.png)
По факту здесь довольно типичный шведский олсдкул-дэт с ярко выраженной мелодичной лид-гитарой (что опять-таки, типично для именно шдвеского олдскула).

Ладно, минутка тэге..ства закончена, перехожу к материалу - довольно неплохо, даже хорошо. Возможно, не настолько, чтобы включать альбом в список прямо-таки "незаслуженно забытых", но хуковых моментов хватает и я бы рекомендовал альбом к прослушиванию, особенно любителям таких групп как Дезалтори (другой шведский олскул с выраженной лид-гитарой). Правда, Дезалтори малость похитовее)

P.S. Вот второй их альбом - уже мдм, но совершенно неинтересный, имхо.
