The Answer Lies In The Black Void is a collaboration between Martina Horváth and Jason Köhnen. Horváth (also singer for the avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque) and Köhnen (Celestial Season, ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble) predominantly work together in their outwardly music project MANSUR together with Dmitry El Demerdashi (ex-PHURPA) releasing their music on Denovali Records.
Horváth and Köhnen decided to join forces through their passion for all things Doom, presenting their personal take on the Doom genre in all its beautiful darkness and from all possible angles.

Сидел и думал: Jason Köhnen, знакомый чувак с дредами, откуда я его помню... не из Celestial Season точно... White Darkness - вот откуда.
И вообще, насколько я помню, у него дофига именно (полу-)электронного мрачняка. На сабже это чувствуется.

По-моему так вообще все очень плохо, крайне разочарован, ожидал от Джейсона чего-то более интересного, да и вокал тоже абсолютно не в кассу. Либо я уже такую музыку совершенно воспринимать разучился. И мрачняк никакой не чувствуется, ни электронный, ни полуэлектронный, вообще никакой.

Приятная лента, воспринимающаяся изначально неоднозначно в моём случае. Статичное болото грузных риффов и умеренная мелодика сочлененная с довольно лайтовым вокалом, лично мне напоминающим что то из поздних Сирении и Тристании и даже Еванесценс. Звучит так или иначе достаточно аутентично, визуализируясь в холодных абстрактных сюжетах и мрачных моральных суждениях. Порой этот даже напоминает мой любимый In the fields of pestilent grief, но лишь в крайних точках накала и остроты.
В общем думаю любителям подобного Дума должно оказаться интересным.
