Альбом хорош. Мелодичный прогрессивный дэт без нагромождения сложностей, но тем не менее непростой и искустный. Anata или Gorod до них далеко. Поищу другие альбомы.

Почему-то до сих пор наши пути с Мортирой странным образом всё время расходились... мне приходилось раньше воевать другим оружием. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) И группа отчего-то не попала в обзор моего внимания, даже когда я специально изучал стиль ТМДМ. Но объяснение, видимо, здесь такое: при всей своей достаточно существенной мелодичности канадцы, прежде всего, именно технари. То есть, стиль данного альбома, по моему мнению, таков: Melodic Technical Death Metal - мелодичный техно-дэт. Кстати, необходимо отметить факт, что Martyr - группа небезывестного Даниэля Монгрейна, этакого канадского Свано, который за что ни берётся, всё превращает в золото. Кроме Martyr Монгрейн активно участвовал в таких всем известных коллективах, как Voivod, Capharnaum, Gorguts, Quo Vadis и даже немного поиграл в Cryptopsy! Конечно, Martyr не настолько мелодичен, как те же канадские Quo Vadis и Archons, но более, чем Capharnaum и Neuraxis. Что приятно удивило, так это лёгкая усваиваемость рифов, адекватная доходчивость и всякое отсутствие какой-либо зауми. Помню, столь же легко и естественно у меня в своё время пошли, кажется, лишь Illogicist и Carcariass. Местами хочется пуститься в пляс, местами просто восхищённо болтаешь головой в такт техничному ритму. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Что касается техники - она, конечно, восхищает, особенно в таких хитах, как Elementals, Non Conformis и Inner Peace. Здесь очень наглядно, на мой взгляд, выражена идея - голая техника без мелодии никуда, мелодика вносит душу в голую технику. Смело записываю Martyr в число самых любимых канадских команд! 9/10

Именно так! давеча переслушивая сие творение, я вновь думал — насколько же органично звучит и воспринимается эта музыка! Это тот случай, когда интеллигентный технодэт не академично холоден и заумно-чужд. Он вовлекает в свое полотно, заставляет слушать музыку, а не напряженно считать ноты или трястись на частоколе гитарных каскадов. Martyr — это особая, узнаваемая атмосфера невыпяченной элитности. Обслушались технодэта так, что уже не можете понять, нравится вам или нет очередной альбом? Включите Martyr — он задаст начало координат. Роскошный альбом. Списывался недавно с кем-то из Galy Records, вроде как сказали, что в скором времени выпустят его дополнительно. Будет ли это допечатка или переиздание — непонятно. Одни анонсы концертов, да и то все старье, в основном. Иные источники не изучал как не официальные. Непонятно, что они там вообще думают! И если в отношении Necrophagist (новый опус которых я тоже жду) у меня есть сомнения по качеству, то в Martyr я верю свято — не должны подвести.P.S. Подписываюсь под этим высказыванием! Удивительно другое. В середине 90-х 2 команды - Martyr (CAN) и Hieronymus Bosch (RUS) играли очень похожую, но в то же время, уникальную музыку. Обе группы представляли в своём пространстве определённую ветвь жанра technical death, одну и ту же ветвь, при этом ни коим образом не пересекаясь и даже... ничего не зная друг о друге. Я обращался насчёт этой поразительной схожести в подходе к музыке к Владимиру Лейвиману - он говорит, что в этом году, на концерте Voivod он общался с Даниелем Монгрейном (повод - "Фанаты замучили вопросами кто у кого, что содрал"). В итоге: в то время, действительно, Martyr ничего не знали про Hieronymus Bosch, а Босхи ничего не знали про Martyr, впервые услышав друг о друге только в эпоху массовой распространённости интернета. Т.е. версия о том, что они творили в одном и том же ключе (считайте, в особом жанре) независимо друг от друга - подтвердилась, если верить тому, что говорит Владимир (гитарист/композитор Hieronymus Bosch). Тогда возникает вопрос, а как они одновременно пришли к одному и тому же? Ответ: слушали одну и ту же музыку - Voivod, Mekong Delta, King Diamond, Slayer, Coroner, Death, Pestilence. Ответ получен, но всё равно, в моём мозгу не укладывается, как можно было несмыкающимися тропами прийти к, по сути, одному и тому же жанру (вплоть до деталей в риффинге, роли баса, характере акустических вставок, узнаваемом характере соло). Такая вот загадочная история двух жанрообразующих групп - близнецов, которые жили не зная друг о друге. |
