Критерии «гимновости»:

- известность песни/группы

Я долго выбирал между Dark Tranquillity - [The Gallery #08] Lethe и At the gates - [Slaughter of the soul #01] Blinded by fear
и в конце концов предлагаю видвинуть в качестве гимна МДМа величайший шедевр At the gates - Blinded by fear
Хотя вообще-то предпочёл бы пожалуй Little Dead Berta - I Don't Believe, но она не совсем подходит под первый критерий (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif)

ну для меня уж точно это будет Edge of sanity - 1536, как первая услышанная и реально зацепившая песня в этом стиле

честно говоря, кроме DT почти все какую-то шнягу упоминали )
конечно же назову что-нибудь из моих любимых MPE, например, Pure. Мог бы еще штуки три назвать, все были бы сего же производства )
а если не совсем чисто в жанре оставаться, то, например,

Insomnium - All albums

THE best in delivering real MDM. Not the cheesy, fake ass metalcore shit. Insomnium has dethroned Dark Tranquillity from atop the MDM empire IMO. They burst onto the scene with real MDM. They sounded mature like they've released 5 albums before with 2002's In the Halls of Awaiting. They bring uniqueness/originality/maturity into their sound and one helluva breath of fresh air to MDM. They don't have the 'been there heard that before' bullshit.

Был у них в свое время крен в сторону мелодета, но он не значителен, поэтому я не считаю, что их стоит пречислять к мелодету. На роль гимна предложил бы In Flames "Dreamscape", очень уж она ИМХО величественно звучит.
