этот альбом и "Twilight of the Gods" надо строго на лицухе слушать,дабы проникнутся той непередоваемой атмосферой и духом,которые Квортон хотел донести своей музыкой!

Мой первый услышанный альбом Куортона. Сначала не понравился - ожидал услышать блэк, а там не понятно что, да еще и с чистым вокалом. Но сейчас после прослушки всей дискографии понимаю, что альбом силен и сделан в лучщих традициях Viking Metal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/20.gif)

Гулял я сейчас - и слушал этот альбом Bathory - и Квортон мне спел о том, что у каждого свой путь, и себя не обманешь - как бы ты не пытался иногда внушить себе, что тебе интересны другие вещи в жизни, что эта музыка - всего лишь малая часть бытия, более превознесённая тобой в культ, нежели являющаяся таковой на самом деле - ан нет!
Он не даёт вам солгать.
Квортон пел душой и попадал прямиком в наши души - и в них он остался жить навсегда, и изнутри хранит нас от кривды и малодушия, верным стражем у самых заветных ворот цитадели личности отметает всё притворное, что пытается проникнуть в нас, когда в минуты слабости мы готовы капитулировать перед гулкими ударами тарана будничности.
"Вот чему ты рад, вот что для тебя истинно" - слышал я в очередной раз.

Его Валгалла внутри каждого, кто вот уже столько лет не перестаёт восхищаться его музыкой и музыка эта будет звучать до конца Вечности.

Очень экзистенциальный альбом, построенный на простейшем принципе "Мир идет на нас войной". При этом он наполнен пафосом, героизмом, отвагой доверху. В любом случае релиз - одна из вершин викинг-метала, полон незабывающихся мелодий, ритма, с большим количесвтом звуковых "бытовых" дорожек.
Лучшими для меня стали The Lake, Gods Of Thunder Of Wind And Of Rain, The Revenge Of The Blood On Ice.
