Спорный альбом:
И вроде бы всё тот же узнаваемый стиль Дикой Кошки - железобетонный риффинг, выжигающие соло, динамитный вокал... И в тоже самое время группа с головой зарылась в собственных фишках и наворотах - куча качевых моментов просто оборванных и задушенных тягучими проигрышами, трудновоспринимаемые переходы туда-обратно с мощного драйвового риффинга на затяжные гаммовые прогоны, постоянно "запинающиеся" ударные - да это Пантера и Винни никогда не страдал однообразностью, но сбивки/пробежки чуть-ли не в каждом такте - это много. В итоге те самые теплые и прятные чувства прослушивания альбомов 90-х, возникают здесь пожалуй только от открывашки HellBound и упомянутой мной ранее финальной I'll Cast A Shadow - ещё чувствуются те драйв, мош и одновременный романтичный мелодизм, коими когда-то славились данные техасцы. Скрепя сердцем, но оценивая объективно - 3/5. |

Первым услышанным релизом у Пантерки был Силодемонстрирование и с тех пор я дичайше обожаю команду. ВЕСЬ АЛЬБОМ ЭТОТ безупречен (с 1 изъяном - предпоследней балладой). Его я бы порекомендовал к прослушиванию всем, кто желает получить максимально полное впечатление о группе, не забывая, разумеется, и про остальные альбомы, которые так же сильны.

В корне с тобой не соглашусь, максимально полное впечатление о группе, может дать пожалуй только упомянутый тобой "Vulgar Display Of Power" - возможно не самый бэстовый релиз, но там присутствуют все сильные стороны, бывшие когда-либо в музыке группы. А касаемо сабжа, уж где-где, а в данной работе, даже внимательному слушателю вряд-ли удасться прочувствовать и осознать в полной мере прошибательно-качево-мелодичную атмосферу классической Пантеры.
