Материал на альбоме получился темнее всего, что шведы делали до этого, прям под стать обложке, на которой на чёрном-чёрном фоне изображено дерево без листьев, на ветвях которого висят два висельника. Мрачный и тяжелый материал, в котором боевая агрессия предшественника сменилась безысходностью и отчаянием. Скрипочек вы здесь почти не услышите, фолковых клавиш тоже. Клавиши, впрочем, есть и активно используются, причем кое-какие моменты с жесткими гитарными риффами и клавиша под колокольчики наводят на мысли о том, что харьковчане Khors слушали эту работу, и она повлияла на их собственный саунд. Чистые бэк-вокалы вместо фолковых напевов здесь напевают какие-то злые мантры, и даже редкая скрипка не балует нас позитивом. Несмотря на монолитность и явную НЕориентированность на хиты, хит имеется и здесь: это печальная композиция Höst, расположившаяся в середине альбома. И опять же: вот бы таких ярких песен ещё парочку.
