Ну что, достойное продолжение "Souls To Deny", причём здесь началось общее замедление музыки, но ещё нет "лязгающего загруза" как на следующем "Blood Oath".
Конечно же сперва нельзя не отметить такую тему как "Redemption" - если заблуждаюсь, поправьте, но второго такого по-настоящему душевного вступления, в брутал дэте точно нигде не удастся встретить.
Ну и лично очень вкатила "Inis Concieved" - отличный пример игры с резким чередованием темпов - мясо идеально спаяно с арматурным качем.
Может ни так резво и дико, как в 95м, но одно точно отмечаю после каждого прослушивания сего альбома - мужики не зря вернулись на сцену после 6-летнего перерыва.

11. Prelude To Repulsion

Pressure on the inner walls of my brain grows heavier.

Очень люблю Саффо, при чём не выделяю и не делю альбомы и песни на лучше или хуже, для меня это САФФФФФФФФФООООООООООООО, мастодонты и титаны дэз металла, очень интересная команда, своеобразная, оригинальная и сильно вкусная!!! 12 лет знаком с альбомом. По-настоящему впёрло только сейчас. Батюшки, сколько же здесь маленьких вкусностей!

Кстати, я сам распробовал группу только в 2009 году именно на этом альбоме. А дальше уже вкусил в полную силу и все остальные.

Никогда не был большим поклонником этих американцев и тут наконец распробовал - отличная команда..
Альбом представляет собой первоклассный эталонный техно-брутал-дэт.

Как то вскользь где-то читал, что её уже переигрывали, но только сейчас понял, куда закинули)
Два диска есть, но там только 1 переигранный Prelude to Repulsion, а он аж на японце, будем искать (IMG:style_emoticons/default/28.gif)
Отличный трек, да и весь альбом удался (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)
Ну и в связи с этим можно ещё на 2 новых релиза рассчитывать (IMG:style_emoticons/default/15.gif) , главное, чтоб с Фрэнком,
а то вчера глянул Хеллфест с другим парнем и дальше 1 песни не пошло.

К записи альбома имени себя нью-йоркцы снова стали квинтетом: вся четвёрка из Souls to Deny + отличный басист Derek Boyer. Его качающий и лязгающий бас добавил немало красок в саунд этой работы. Альбом снова писали в FullForce Studios, но саунд получили более жирный и тяжелый.

Тревожное интро Oblivion (странно, почему Забвение звучит так тревожно?) и... На слушателя обрушивается мощнейшая Abomination Reborn: напористая вещь с быстрым и разбирающим черепную коробку вступительным риффом, качающим замедлением в припеве и офигительным соло в неоклассической манере во второй половине. Более длинная Redemption начинается с душевного акустического вступления, переходящего в риффовые качели. Вещь, отлично чередующая скоростной забой и среднетемповый кач, к тому же в ней нашлось место для мелодизма. Bind, Torture, Kill - кульминация убийства слушателя, неистовый напор и башкотряс, ну а замедления тут просто убийственные! Misconceived несколько уступает предыдущим трём трекам в крутости, но, тем не менее, отличный пример варьирования темпом. Про Translucent Patterns of Delirium особо сказать ничего не могу: добротный трек, но не более. А вот грузная Creed of the Infidel - однозначный хит, ещё и соло зашибезное. Тяжеленная, потрошащая мозг Regret, после неё даже начинает хотеться чего-то полегче. И это полегче мы получает в виде скоростного стремительного вступления Entrails of You, но оно очень скоро сменяется ещё одним убийственно тяжелым среднетемпом, потом опять вступительный отрезок (дабы чуть передохнУть, видимо). The End of Ends (вот названьице-то!) тоже отличная, кульминационным моментом на ней мне видится бридж на строках "I strike the weak, Bloodshed resides over me. I strike the weak, Pawns left denied" с почти Блэк Сэббэтовским риффом, только утяжелённым на несколько порядков. Ну и Prelude to Repulsion, как несложно догадаться, ещё одна перезаписанная песня с Breeding the Spawn - альбома, которому не повезло со звуком. Вписалась хорошо, хоть и сама по себе уступит большинству сабжевых треков. На японском издании перезаписана ещё и Anomalistic Offerings, но мне японца слышать не доводилось.

11/12. На мой скромный взгляд - один из двух лучших альбомов Suffocation. И, пожалуй, самый навороченный, хотя и не сильно оторвавшийся в этом плане от 1995 или 2004.

Очень крепкий альбом сам по себе, но нынче, на фоне свежевышедшего, звучит и вовсе потрясно. Негроударка - моё почтение, узловые гитары - сложно, но не душно, даже вокал пока что ещё тянет, хотя по-прежнему считаю, что Муллен тут - слабейшее звено. Читаемость материала тоже на высшем уровне, пусть раньше мне и не хватало плотности в звуке.
Гитарная паутина, сотканная как будто из осевшей после приступа невыразимого отчаяния пыли во второй половине "Redemption", пожалуй, лучшая часть альбома.
