Альбом понравился так же, как и The Cult Is Alive и F.O.A.D., на пятёрку!

P.S. но если Варг узнает о таком их творчестве - зарежет обоих, и тогда уж не видать нам обещанных двух альбомов =)
А интересно, откуда он деньги на студию возьмёт???

Darkthrone дотянули таки до того уровня, когда можно безнаказанно делать что угодно. Как сумасбродному старику, докучающему своему многочисленному потомству, группе позволительно закатывать сцены, выкидывать фортели, капризничать и действовать всем на нервы. Самое главное – отныне дозволено клепать какую угодно чепуху. Никто и слова поперёк не скажет. То есть как, бывалые фанаты скажут, конечно, и морды свои скуксят, и плеваться станут, да ещё начнут скулить, что совсем, дескать, дарктрон сдулся – но ведь ещё больше народу искренне протащится, в полной уверенности, что так и должно быть.

Хотя, впрочем, это ещё неизвестно, кто впал в больший маразм – имбецильствующие на старости лет Darkthrone или остальная блэк-металлическая сцена, который год тупорыло задрачивающая классические дарктроновские риффы до посинения.

в связи с отвратительным, душным и беспонтовым последним альбомом настало моё время переслушивать дискографию уважаемой команды, начиная с 2007го, потому что в крови так сильно как культовый период эти лонгплеи не осели, хотя помню конкретную и непоколебимую годноту The Underground Resistance и олдскульную обезбашенность FOADа.
дошёл и до этого альбома, который невзлюбил сразу после выхода. начал прогон и не понял, за что альбом попал в опалу ибо The Winds They Called the Dungeon Shaker - красота; Death of All Oaths (Oath Minus) - околокрасота, а Hiking Metal Punks так и вовсе (в моей системе координат) - хитяра позднего Дарктрона. а вот потом альбус и разонравился - да, есть лютый рифф в заключительной части Norway in September; да, есть неплохие Launchpad to Nothingness и Witch Ghetto; да, Фенриз даёт джазу за установкой, но всё остальное наполнение скудно и плачевно, особенно вокальные карамболи и то, что касается их исполнения и сведения.
в следующем альбоме скучная линия с дефицитом риффов и [мат->бан]0вblм вокалом продолжается и кроме могил восьмидесятых почти ничего достойного нет (по состоянию на 2021 год могу ошибаться, но об этом в соответствующем топике), то уже совершенно другая история.
