Not to be confused with another punk band called Onslaught from the UK, who released an 7" called "First Strike" on Control Rec. in 1984. The band's line-up was shuffled considerably following "Power From Hell." Bassist Jason Stallard became the second guitarist, and Paul Mahoney took over playing bass to allow Sy Keeler to take his place as vocalist. After signing to major label imprint London Records, Onslaught were coerced into replacing Sy Keeler with Steve Grimmett. After "In Search of Sanity" was released, the band were dropped. Tony O'Hora came in as vocalist for a brief period before the band parted ways in 1991. Reformed in 2005. Nige Rockett has been performing rhythm guitar only since the reformation despite playing all lead guitar parts in the band's early days. According to Nige, in an interview given recently with Vibrations Of Doom Magazine, "Onslaught were certainly not dropped from Polygram records due to low album sales... the album ("In Search Of Sanity") was by far and away Onslaught's biggest selling album to date.. We moved over 80,000 units in the 1st week of sales alone, hitting national album charts in several countries... so no disaster by any stretch of the imagination. We lost our deal simply because our A&R guy got fired; all the bands he had signed to the label got fired along with him, victims of corporate circumstance.
