Безусловный шедевр! На первопрессе почти нет НЧ-секции, но даже это не может ничего испортить. Настолько гениально задуманы все композиции! Все же ремастер мне больше нравится по звуку, хоть и напихали туда бонусы.

Также заметил, что ежели раньше любимой была The Loss And Curse Of Reverence, то теперь пальму первенства готов отдать Thus Spake The Nightspirit

Я оказался прав: сабж действительно взрослее своего предшественника, объёмность выше, деталей больше, клавиши утончённее, ударные чище и яростнее, но вместо того, чтобы стать интересным, он стал... скучным. Парадокс. Слишком высока фрагментарность: там, где множество интересных элементов обычно сходятся в отличное единое целое, тут всё сходится в кашу, в лихорадку с обрывками видений. Этот вопрос можно было бы решить, если бы гитары так не истерили, но тут они местами вообще борзеют, пытаясь угнаться за ударными, а эти диссонансные взвизгивания меня всегда бесили в блэке. Да и их смазанность не очень-то им на пользу идёт. Хронометраж тоже хороший, ага.
Чисто клавишный вариант с радостью послушал бы, так как тут синтезатор силён, но в этот раз не лидер, из-за чего музыка потеряла часть своего шарма.
Дальше, насколько помню, только хуже.

Великий альбом! И ничем не уступает предыдущему ITNE. Мои самые любимые композиции - With Strength I Burn, The Acclamation of Bonds, In Longing Spirit. With Strength I Burn - песня на все времена, особенно хороша в концертном исполнении, например, на бутлеге Live In Frostland (1997). The Acclamation of Bonds - великолепная клавишная мелодия и вообще вся песня классная. In Longing Spirit - запомнилась присутствием на переизданной версии альбома, которую я и гонял. В оригинале присутствует на EP-шке Reverence.
