Финны просто Боги! Безумно красиво, безумно мощно! А уж третья песня. От блэковой кульминации сдувает шапку, акустические партии изумительны, а от соляка в конце отвисает челюсть. Словно буря, песня проносится, принося надежду и унося беды. Реально, едва слезы не наворачиваются - столько чувств вложено в эту песню.

Oh wow! Just listened to this ep and it's amazing!
Especially the third track "The Absence" - the second part of it left me amazed with mouth open! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/spitggis0.gif)
Those guitar parts, both the acoustic and the solo after (near the ending) are insane. I got chills from listening to it, hair went straigh up on my body, which rarely happens nowadays. Even if I'm not a big fan of guitar solos, this solo/melody is brilliant and perfect - the way it progresses and just keeps you wanting more is out of this world! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/metaler.gif)

As I'm not an expert in progressive/atmospheric melodic doom/death, I only got reminded of the great Kalisia (to be more precise, their Skies demo sound, not the later Cybion which sounded less atmospheric and more technical to me).

Как известно, эта EP — половина невышедшего альбома Epilogue. На Metal Storm написано, что другие три трека, которые планировалось на альбоме — это For I Fell, The Art of Letting Go и Statues. Последний трек вошёл в следующий альбом The Fall of Icons, а первые два обнаружены на YouTube:
The Art of Letting Go
For I Fell
Должен заметить, что они не хуже, чем выпущенные на Closure треки (ну, кроме The Absense, это топ). Если бы альбом вышел на каком-нибудь Candlelight, стал бы классикой жанра. Но, увы.
