Gone 2. Adrenaline 3. Time Is Now 4. Rock 'N' Roll Dream 5. Fade 6. You Gotta Bleed 7. Nail In The Coffin 8. Nightmare 9. Death Of Me 10. Lost Control ****************************** Total playing time: 37:07 (IMG:http://metalarea.org/images/myspace.png) Extended info Release Notes: Crooked X release their self-titled debut album. The album was produced by Spencer Proffer (Tina Turner, Quiet Riot, WASP) and Michael Wagener (Ozzy, Skid Row, Poison). The band consists of Forrest French (Lead And Backing Vocals, Rhythm And Lead Guitars), Jesse Cooper (Lead And Rhythm Guitars, Backing Vocals), Boomer Simpson (Drums, Percussion And Backing Vocals) and Josh McDowell (Bass). This CD isn't the same as the 2006 release. Enjoy. Crooked X have their bases covered. Opener “Gone” recalls the greatest of grunge, while the metafictional “Rock N Roll Dream” has AC/DC—and even their imitators like the Cult—on lockdown. “Fade” phases shimmering guitar into cinematic balladry, “Nail in the Coffin” offers pounding boogie that would make Lemmy smile, and “Death of Me” is as emotionally overwrought as it is sonically raucous. One would be tempted to call Crooked X derivative, but they’ve only been alive long enough to copy the copiers. - AZCentral.com Register Register
