С момента выхода этот альбом у "Пестиленс" для меня - лучший.

Впервые услышал этот альбом в 1992 году и сразу влюбился. Столько лет прошло, но он так и остался любимейшим из сотен любимых!
Композиции Parricide и особенно Extreme Unction считаю лучшими в музыке вообще. Трек Commandments по праву должен считаться лучшим произведением, за всю историю существования человечества, это так же касается химиотерапии Chemo Therapy - как там завораживающе пульсируют гитары, просто прелесть! По моему скромному мнению, никому и никогда, ни одной трэш-дэф команде, до сих пор не удалось даже приблизиться к столь гармоничному и величественному полотну! Шедевр!
Некоторые гнусные личности называют композицию Bacterial Surgery интересной, но она выше этой оценки, по крайней мере, в миллиард раз, если не больше - потрясающий бриллиант в корону суровой музыки.
Завершает легендарный альбом голландской группы мощный трек Systematic Instruction, ему предшествует великолепный Osculum Infame - в нем так и чувствуется атмосфера средневековья.

Этот альбом вошел в платиновый фонд голландской метал-сцены в день своего выхода и до сих пор находится так на одном из самых почетных мест. Он пропитан молодецкой удалью, вдохновением и физическим пределом исполняемого. Альбому в этом году в сентябре было тридцать лет. Идеи заложенные здесь до сих пор можно услышать в пластинках новых треш-метал групп, чьи участники родились позже выхода этой пластинки - перекрученные "блуждающие" соло, бубнящий бас, "сорванный" вокал. Хоть и новый Pestilence заслуживает внимания, старый как-то ближе, по эмоциональному наполнению.
