Великолепный альбом, великолепный Opeth. Запоминающаяся 'Ghost of Perdition' в итоге оказывается чуть ли не самой скромной в альбоме. На деле всё самое интересное начинается с 'Beneath the Mire', первые две вещи - разогрев сковородки, затем начинается выкладывание всеразличных шняжек (в хорошем смысле слова).
'Atonement', 'Reverie/Harlequin Forest' и 'Hours of Wealth' являются сердцевиной альбома. Чтобы понять альбом, нужно прежде всего пережить заложенную в эти композиции кульминацию.
И ещё вот о чём: загадкой группы для меня является то, что несмотря на выдающуюся музыкальную составляющую, риффы данной группы при игре в сугубо бытовых условиях (в одну гитару) как-то совершенно не звучат. В чём дело я понять не могу. Буду рад услышать версии и примеры того, что удалось другим в этом деле.

Опет. В одном этом слове скрыт целый мир - для кого то непонятный и слишком сложный, для кого то, наоборот, притягательный, манящий и классный. Альбом очень хорош. Поначалу чуть скучоват, но ближе к середине Мишаня включает печечку и паровоз несётся на всех парах. Меланхолия, грусть, дождь, скорбь, радости печаль - всех этих фирменных ингредиентов есть в наличии. Замечательный, классический Опёнок.

Ненужный альбом совершенно. Натужно-тяжелый, затхлый, полный музыкальной демагогии, не цепляющий ни единым мотивом. Только на обложку и можно смотреть.

Не знаю, альбом очень по опетовски-фирменному красив. Начало конечно, ни рыба ни мясо, но что начинается в середине и конце - сложно описать словами.
