Nailed Shut is likely a band some of you might want to
keep your ears on. The writing is pretty stock with some
smoking barrels. It's an excellent change of pace and it
really makes you want to stick with the album and hear the
rest. "A Hearse Named Desire" is a track with the sick
vocals, but it had some intense ripping instrumentals that
were added to the mix. The album very simply grows on you
as it progresses within its a rollercaoster ride of tunes
for now despite their attempts at doing something fresh
they already seem to have it well in their hands. Nailed
Shut still has a long walk to go if they are going to
stand apart from other bands who seem to be appearing and
disappearing by the masses and masses these days. Needless
to say there are plenty of above-average moments
throughout this album. Another track that had some death
metal road twist and turns was "Indecisive Divide". Take a
short walk with your finger tips and get ready to start
head banging, moshing style worthy tunes ©

Ух ты!!! Неожиданно очень хорошо! Блэка действительно не наблюдается, а вот Melodic очень даже. Энергично, с отличными ненавязчивыми солячками, приличный вокал. Хоть и не слишком ORIGINAL, но в самых лучших традициях.

Отличная команда из Канады которая исповедует шведскую школу игры. Местами конечно напоминает славнозвестных Amon Amarth, но свое лицо также сохранено и звучит материал очень даже прилично!

и про "ни капли" тоже спорно. вокал похож в принципе. ритмика кое-где местами тоже похожа

Блестяще, прослушал альбом с огромным удовольствием! Ярковыраженный swedish melodic death metal, яркий и качественный. Офигенное количество хитов на квадратный метр площади альбома - практически с 3-й по 9-ю тему сплошь хиты! Канадцы, видимо, совершали командировку куда-то в Швецию в Гётеборг на предмет изучения местой "молодёжной рок-культуры". Кстати, ужаснули меня сравнения с некоторыми тамошними МДМ-ансамблями. Нет, ну если утверждаете, что похоже на Amon Amarth - ради Бога, ваше право, но только покажите, как говорится, "скриншот", то есть такой-то кусок отсюда (желательно, в хронометраже) похож на музыку AA. Посмотрим-сравним. То же самое с Lost Dreams - что именно у Obtenebris похоже на Lost Dreams? Давайте говорить конкретно, ибо любое сравнение с другим исполнителем - дело деликатное, неблагодарное и субъективное. Одному одно видится, другому другое. Именно поэтому я очень редко сравниваю, или же сравниваю крайне осторожно... Amon Amarth?! Lost Dreams?! Куда уж ближе тогда (раз пошла такая пьянка) музыка канадцев к Gates Of Ishtar, или (иногда) к The Duskfall... Но давайте остановимся в подобном бессмысленном споре, ибо кто-нибудь ещё кого-нибудь назовёт, и тогда в голове у потенциального слушателя заварится настоящая каша. Возвращаясь к альбому - расписывать его подробно бессмысленно, Dust Of Time любому МДМщику нужно слушать исключительно самому. И уверен, что большинству людей альбом понравится, так как он красив, мелодичен, тяжёл, и что наиболее важно, являет собой самую что ни на есть квинтэссенцию жанра. 9.5/10

насчет сравнения)....я согласен, что это дело субъективное и я тоже редко кого сравниваю. Но по первым трекам у меня сразу возникло стойкое ощущение, что вокал похож на Amon Amarth. А по среднетемповому мелодизму песен чем мне напомнило Lost Dreams.....я не говорю о каком то плагиате, просто группы чем то похожи, играют в похожей манере. Но это мое имхо).
Очень понравился данный альбом....для меня пока это релиз года!
P.S Очень люблю и Lost Dreams, и Amon Amarth)
