как-то ее на облоге отфотопопкили чересчур. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fear.gif)

а по музыке - уныло. как обычно, впрочем. с той лишь разницей, что не могу сказать "красиво, но уныло". просто "уныло" в этот раз
тут нужно больше хоров. тогда она будет приятной моему уху. иначе - скучать начинаю. не будоражит.
хотя под конец есть песни получше в целом

I second that. Truth to tell, I was never really so much into Leaves' Eyes before - I used to like some songs, but almost never whole albums. The concert in Belgium from the "We Came With The Northern Winds" DVD was good enough for me, quite a decent show, even beyond that. As for "Njord"... I've been listening to the promo for about a week now and all I can say is that they went TOO far and surpassed all my expectations. 12 beautiful, full of emotions songs, played and recorded in a way I've never really heard when it comes to Leaves' Eyes. The instrumental basis is what stricked me at first - all that symphonic focus, the celtic motives, even Liv's voice, which was a little bit of a problem for me before. Every song has its own influence, so strong that they simply project some majestic, cold norsk images in my mind, which means the mission is fulfilled.

The interpretation of "Scarborough Fair" is amazing with the sound mix provided by all those uilleann bagpipes, kettledrums and whistles, the choir is recorded in a really professional way so that it merges with the melodies and fits perfectly. Other highlights for me are "Njord" - one hell of a passionate beginning, also "Northbound", "Ragnarock", "The Holy Bond" and especially "Froya's Theme", which is by far the most complex Leaves' Eyes song ever written.

In short, amazing mass revisit of the scandinavian myths, a most professional record and the best Leaves' Eyes album up to date, the band finally won me over.

P.S. I read in the booklet of the "My Destiny" EP that all the orchestral arrangements of the Mortis Orchestra from Minsk are conducted by Victor Smolski himself, which says it all when it comes to professionalism.
