Насколько я понял, представленное демо - дебютное для калифорнийцев Ash Borer. На мой взгляд, манера исполнения этих ребят во многом напоминает их же соотечественников Wolves In The Throne Room. Правит балом здесь, естественно, тремольщина - то скоростная, то замедленная, но в обоих случаях очень прямолинейная и, не побоюсь этого слова, примитивная. Доносящиеся же из-за тремольно-бластбитовой стены вопли (хорошо, хоть нечастые) никакой другой реакции, кроме как усмешки, у меня не вызывают. Два неоправданно растянутых трека, один подстать другому. Правда, во 2-м, странно обозначенном, как Untitled I начало несколько поинтереснее. Но не настолько, чтобы оценить данное творение больше, чем на 7/10. Кстати, несмотря на то, что жанровая формула сулит слушателю Atmospheric Black/Doom Metal, я совершенно не понял, где же здесь всё-таки обещанный "дум"!?
