EXUMER released their first new song in 23 years, titled ‘Waking the fire’, featuring founding member Mem V. Stein on vocals. The song is taken from their new two-track demo, which was partially recorded in Hawaii and Germany during the band's last tour earlier this year.Vocalist Mem V. Stein comments: "I tracked the vocals for "Waking the Fire", in Hawaii with Paul (guitars/vocals), last year and the entire band tracked the rest of the music in Germany during our "5 Nights of Fire" tour. This should give people an idea of how committed we are to the project and the logistical challenges involved with keeping the band going. Nevertheless, we find the results nothing short of amazing and the song's aggression and energy speaks for it self. At this point, we have written over half of the new album and I think we should be able to record the whole CD early next year. Right now, we will start looking for a recording or label deal and there are also concrete plans for a European tour next April/May, as well as festival appearances in summer 2010" EXUMER have posted” Waking the Fire"

Бомба! Слушал эту банду еще в те времена, когда сопли висели до колен (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile1.gif) Где-то года полтора назад вычитал информацию что группа вновь собралась и готовит новый студийный альбом. Переодически залазил к ним на Майспэйс, но ничего не менялось. И вот оно - событие! Пролетели первые ласточки (IMG:style_emoticons/default/metaler.gif) Уже предвкушаю ближайшее знакомство с полноформатником.
З.Ы. Наконец-то тройка моих любимых трэш-банд Kreator, Sodom, Exumer вновь на плаву (IMG:style_emoticons/default/metaler.gif) нашел Майспэйс РИП на меге Register

Another epic return...
German thrashers EXUMER will enter a studio in Dortmund, Germany this summer with producer Waldemar Sorychta (GRIP INC., ENEMY OF THE SUN, VOODOOCULT, THERION, TIAMAT, MOONSPELL) to begin recording their first album in 24 years. The band's third CD will be recorded and mixed between early June and end of July and will feature artwork by Baptiste Treton, a French-born artist who resides in Vietnam. Commented EXUMER vocalist Mem V. Stein: "We basically took off from playing live for this entire year in order to concentrate solely on writing, recording and mixing this record. "Waldemar was the most logical choice for us in regards to producing this very important album. We heard what he had done with the last SODOM album and we all agreed that he is capable of preserving the spirit of a 1980s thrash band but still make them sound relevant today. That is exactly what we envision for EXUMER. We became quite confident that we will achieve this objective after meeting Waldemar earlier this year and trust his intuition as a producer, songwriter and musician, as well as his ability to push EXUMER's envelope when it is necessary." EXUMER began negotiating with several labels to release the upcoming CD and will announce the album's title once a record deal has been secured. |
