Progressive metalheads in Acrania embrace the same sentiment when it comes to their music, embracing not only the hard and heavy Death and Thrash Metal conventions, but also more melodic progressive song structures as well as Latin and even "Jazzy" elements.
Coming from a similar line to bands like Atheist, Cynic, Mekong Delta and Aghora, Acrania manages to create death metaller environments with touches of jazz, samba, bossa nova, Son Jarocho, etc., using a permanent lineup of vocals, guitars, bass, drums , percussion (congas, timbales, etc.), tenor saxophone and trumpet that results in this style to which they refer to as "Latin Metal".
