Malia Rideout, World-renowned glass sculptor who, after a four-year battle for her life, was reborn as the lead vocalist of Hawaii’s new emerging Thrash Metal band, ElipTic. Malia joined forces with Joe on guitar, Arjuna on Bass and Corey on Drums to create a live arsenal of heavy music in the South Pacific Hawaiian Islands.
Was it all fate? Coincidence? What is not in question is ElipTic’s desire to be a voice, an outlet for those who can’t (or fear to) stand up for themselves. We say what needs to be said, regardless of how uncomfortable it may be or who we might piss off. When asked what message we want to send to the world through our music, ElipTic replies, “take a chance, tell the truth….say it loud and clear! Don’t fear being yourself! Fight for your own authority, and never let ‘em bring you down!"
