Indeed acerbus,it is funny but something is missing here.
Many jazz albums have a similar problem: over-intellectualization.
This album is not overly intellectual but it goes this way.

Everything is perfectly played but
no atmosphere,not as it should be, not as required by the lyrics.

Technically perfect, emotionally shallow.

Если кратко то, это конечно не классический Absu, но альбом очень интересный, многогранный и цепляющий. С первого раза всех прелестей не услышать, тут нужно неоднократное прослушивание и вдумчивое осмысление.

Первые три трека не впечатлили ,тк не привык к техничной музыке,а потом не мог оторваться! Явно не последний раз слушаю,нужно заказать и увековечить на виниле!!

Why do we like certain songs more?

A new study published in the scientific journal NeuroImage
suggests that the connection that occurs when listening to a musician reaches up to the neural level:
the performers' and the audience's brain activities are in fact synchronizing.

On the basis of preliminary research, it can also be concluded that the popularity of a piece of music depends on how well the patterns of brain activity synchronize. Perhaps this is one way our mind subconsciously favors certain creators.

As we read in the article presenting the results of the study, listening to the music we like keeps our brains and performers' brains in a temporarily tuned neural network through which we can read the artist's intentions and experience positive emotions related to the song being performed.


In their research, the scientists used functional near-infrared spectroscopy
(a neuroimaging method that uses light to measure blood flow in the brain
in response to the behavior of neurons).

In this way, the researchers analyzed the brain activity of a professional violinist
while performing 100-second pieces of music and 16 people sitting in the audience.

As it turned out?
Well, the results confirmed the consistency between
the brain activity of the performer and the audience.

Increased activity was observed in the same areas of the brain.
The parts involved in listening and playing music included: the left temporal cortex,
which is related to the processing of sounds, especially their rhythm,
as well as the right lower part of the frontal cortex and the medial gyrus
- areas involved in social processes, enabling emotional processing and empathy with second person.


The observed correlation between the amount of music reported to the audience
(the average value based on the subjective assessment of the audience)
and the level of activity synchronization in the left part of the temporal cortex.
The more our neurons are tuned, the more we like the performer.

The study also shows that enjoying music takes time.
First, the areas responsible for recognizing the rhythm and structure of a piece are activated,
and only then those responsible for aesthetic experiences.

Продолжение Absu, действительно. Альбом очень крепкий, особенно первые три трэка (показалось, что к концу альбом несколько сбавляет).
Все полноформаты Absu есть на виниле, буду ли приобретать сабж, - еще не решил. По хорошему за сексизм/трансфобию можно и закенселлить, но мало ли, во что там верят музыканты.

Классический-не классический, но Проскриптор сразу узнается, и вокально, и ударно. Хорошо, что вернулся.
