This is a concept album that tells the story of a European peasant who leaves his homeland in search of fortune and glory, embarking on a medieval crusade. The story unfolds over various chapters, filled with loss, promises, suffering, and reflections, culminating in madness, where he imagines himself as the last crusader left to defend the promised land. His emotions serve as a metaphor for the modern man’s struggles—a timeless concept in which anyone can see themselves and feel personally involved.
The album was conceived by Joey Mauro, a long-time keyboardist and composer, and the mastermind behind the legendary Italian prog band *Hunka Munka*, with over three decades of experience in pop and rock.
A crucial contribution comes from the musicians involved in the recordings: Gianluca Quinto (*Solisia, DeLa Muerte*), Marcantonio Quinto (*Solisia, Hunka Munka*), Andrea Arcangeli (*DGM, Timo Tolkki*), and Ilaria Bernardini (*Rossometile*).
