Crowned In Earth is another solo project from
Kevin 'Silent Winter' Lawry and it's more splendid
doom, proving once and for all what an affinity
Kevin has for this style of music. However, this
is not Silent Winter by another name: Crowned In
Earth definitely has it's own feel and atmosphere.
'The Forbidden and Divine' opens in crushing,
bleak fashion before dragging itself from the
forest of equilibrium to build into a colossal,
slothful groove, and 'With Horse and Steel' adds
some (almost) up-tempo flavours to the mix.
There's something decidedly English and Archaic
about this excellent two tracker, and I can only
hope there is much, much more to come from Crowned
In Earth.
