Malignance were formed in the August of 2000; initially the band members were six, but then, with the departure of the keyboard player and one of the guitar players, the line-up is so stabilized: Arioch - guitar, Krieg – voice, Achernar – bass, Crom – drums; this is the actual line-up, too. Malignance propose an aggressive and atmospheric black metal, in norwegian style, and with lots of other old-style influences. In September 2001, they have recorded their first Mcd "Ascension to Obscurity", containing 3 tracks of pure Black Metal.
