Flesh Made Sin - The Aftermath Of Amen Neurotic Records
file under Speed / Thrash metal
Koen: It’s been five years since we heard from Dutch thrashers Flesh Made Sin. In 2004 they released the ‘Dawn Of The Stillborn’ full-length through Karmageddon Media which was fucking great. The band's sophomore album ‘The Aftermath Of Amen’ will be released through the Dutch label Neurotic Records. According to the press release, Flesh Made Sin "has their roots within the thrash metal scene, but evolved into a more mature and modern metal band with a sharp and dark edge. Blackened death/thrash would be the most suitable description. Lyrically, Flesh Made Sin is driven by a critical and sarcastic tone of voice to the Christian moral of humanity."
As far as I’m concerned, the band is ready to take things to the next level with 'The Aftermath Of Amen’ and claim their international status. The CD turned out to be heavier and darker then Flesh Made Sin’s previous attacks. The sound is bigger (the album was well-produced by drummer Marco Stubbe and was mastered by the renowned Jacob Hansen) and the song writing has evolved to showcase the new-found band sound. If you add extremely skilled musicianship you've got yourself a bloody ripping thrash metal album of depraved riffs, smashing drums and wicked vocals.
I heartily recommend this album to all true deathrashers out there. The aftermath has begun...AMEN!Rating: 94/100 (details)
