Compilation of two different EPs: Vampyria and Blood Bathory. The first one is similar to the gothic/industrial metal of their album "Horror Masterpiece". The second EP is the first public release of "Promo 2007" (also known as "Blood Bathory"), an old demo musically closer to the symphonic black metal of "De Vampyrica Philosophia."

Ok, I admit it, that sounds ok...but then why not split the release into the terrible sounding first side/EP and the better side/2nd EP so people can solely get the good stuff?

The "Blood Bathory" was originally released in 2007 (hence the name "Promo 2007") via MySpace only. Maybe the tracks from that demo sounded like these, maybe they were re-recorded for this 2010 release with a better production, I have no idea.

This "compilation" is dedicated to the gothic bar Vampyria in Italy. Since the musical career of Lord Vampyr includes both black metal and gothic dance crap (and those two genres are part of the gothic/vampiric culture anyway), I think he simply decided to put these exclusive tracks from both genres into one record and make all the Vampyria's customers happy.

You can take the four last tracks and change the album name tag to Blood Bathory, the year tag to 2007 and the track number tags accordingly. I don't think that demo will ever appear on the Internet.
