The Journey Through the Dying Lands album is a concept collaboration between Bog Wizard and Madness Hearts Games, originally intended to be an shorter release to tie into the anthology book set in the Mork Borg universe of the same name, the music took over and album grew into something bigger than ever imagined.
I, Mycelium is a retelling of the short story by Bog Wizard drummer Harlen Linke, included in the anthology, about the Bog Wizard himself. Dodz Bringare is about a character chronicled in the Screams of the Necropolis short story in Journey, as well as Whispers of the Dead Saint by John Baltisberger. Hagfish Dinner is another retelling of the short story included in the Journey anthology by Ian SerVaas.
The Journey Through the Dying Lands anthology book is available for purchase in limited signed quantities here or standard editions via Madness Hearts Games or Amazon

'“Journey Through the Dying Lands” cannot be seen as anything short of an all-around upgrade for the likes of Bog Wizard. A concept album that ties into an anthology of the same, “Journey Through the Dying Lands” is an absolute beast of a performance from top to bottom with all the signature details of Bog Wizard’s stank-wreathed heaviness all over the creation to make it something that demands to be respected." - Head-Banger Reviews
"With their material steeped in fantasy and horror/sci-fi lore, a goodly portion of it being of their own making, Michigan’s Bog Wizard continue to find the thread between tabletop gaming and sometimes monolithic sludge." - JJ Koczan via The Obelisk
"It's not often that I get completely speechless about an album much, but the creativity that goes on behind this record just floors me" - Rev via Clean and Sober Stoner
