Revised Bio 8/06/06: ANTHROVORE is a one-man project which manifests itself as a result of years of exposure to underground metal, a morbid curiosity about death/macabre and a desire for the expression of creative brutality. It is not my intention to merely produce music for mass consumption and thus I have nothing to do with the mainstream, mass-appeal or the "latest trend in metal". Anthrovore might be interesting to deathgrinders, gorehounds, nihilists, trend-rejecters, metalheads and other underground purists. However, mainstreamers, trend-followers, religious bigots, TV-watching idiots and other social sheep will neither understand nor appreciate it.
Musically, Anthrovore incorporates many of my influences including Death Metal, Grindcore, Speed Metal, Goregrind and Black Metal. My objective is to create modern Death Metal without the pretentious and trendy aspects rampant in extreme metal these days hence I have chosen to exclude synthesizers, horror movie samples, fictional gore, intros from movie/soundtrack, groove-oriented riffs and slow/doomy songs. The lyrical aspect deals with topics such as physical death, murder, cannibalism, lustmord, suicide, barbarism, factual gore, bloodlust and Death in its various forms and in cultures throughout the world; a result of meticulously researched subject matter with references from books, research papers, websites, Usenet groups, documentaries and personal experiences.
