If you like KATATONIA, you will most probably like ROOM WITH A VIEW's (formerly known as BLACK THORNS LODGE) debut album; FIRST YEAR DEPARTURE. Give it a try, the band were pretty much ahead of their time when this album came out. Also they have a trumpet player in the band, sounds very avant-garde but also adds melody to the songs. Vocals are brutal and clean, the clean vocals are an acquired taste. That is the only thing that could make or break this album for listeners.
