Taarma means "Darkness" in the ancient Brahvi language, one of the 27 Pakistan languages that are in danger of extinction according to the UNESCO and still spoken in the southwestern region of that country.
From the town called Balochistan comes this Black Metal project that is leading by 1 man: Black Emperor Jogezai, whom is the founder of this kind of music since 2003 when the genre was totally unknown in that places.
Taarma has recorded 2 studio albums, some demo tapes, rehearsals, splits and EP's wich this "Reflecting Hateful Energy" is the most recent.
As the same Jogezai manifests, his Black Metal is full of depression, suffering, despair, torture and death, so all of these concepts are mixed on the music of this tribute album(?) to the American Black Metal band Xasthur that used to play the same style of Metal.
This kind of Black Metal has got a numerous fans around the world, when some years ago bands formed by 1 men raised with the famous Depressive Suicidal Black Metal movement.
Honestly this music is not my cup of tea, and I have to accept that most of the bands sound very similar among themselves.
In this case I'm talking about the cold and grim atmosphere, slow and mid tempo riffs, sick screams of pain and a lot of dark ambient are present on this album.
The production is not very clear and the sound in general is obscure and in a low tone. You must to hear this at midnight in order to appreciate the music with the correct mood as I did.
Taarma sum up in 4 tracks recorded in different sessions from 2006 to 2010 in the Black Dungeon Studios of Balochistan, the early Xasthur works, from the first demos with "Doomed By Howling Winds" through the albums The Funeral of Being and Subliminal Genocide with the songs "Reflecting Hateful Energy, Consumed By a Dark Paranoia and The Prison of Mirrors".
Nothing more to add except the most interesting thing here is from where Taarma comes and the meaning of its name, otherwise, Reflecting Hateful Energy (Tribute to Xasthur) is a CD exclusive for the fans of the genre if their wish is to add more suffering to their macabre existence.

В общем , всегда было подозрение ,что тип из Пакистана - великий любитель Малефика , ожидания оправданы.
Только что - то не хочется качать ксастур в ксастуре.... Была б лучше новая таарма.

Отлично! Не то чтобы лучше, в своем ключе. Но и Малефик думаю не прочь будет поставиться или непременно выйти в астрал. Астральные двойники, вот вам яркий пример-с.

Вот это просто что-то с чем-то. Реально глубокая атмосфера.

Не все треки удачные, но в целом слушать можно.
