L.i.E. is a 7-piece metal band from the land of Augusta, Georgia that is a little more than just a metal band. Comprised of two young guitarists and former members of popular Augusta bands Cycle, Jemani, The Haeighties, and 420 Outback as well as a recently added violinist, L.i.E. is influenced by everything from 60's psychedelia, 70's prog rock, 80's metal, 90's alternative, to turn of the century contemporary music in addition to classical and bluegrass. Dubbed "fearless" by one local independent critic and "not content to merely toss out comfortable music for the modern rock crowd" by another, L.i.E. seeks to create memorable pieces of music that balance the extreme with the mainstream and add a touch of the symphonic, progressive, and occasionally downright ludicrous.

EVICTION (2009) is L.i.E.'s 16-track debut album that runs the gamut between radio friendly hard rock and face smashing metal with sprinklings of space rock, classical and symphonic music, electronica, and even an 'remix' track featuring Augusta underground hip hop artist Rebel Lion. Vocals include a mix of traditional melodic with cookie-monster growls and one of the neatest pig squeals in the "business," and the arrangements are designed to give the keyboard an essential role amid complimentary guitars.

In 2010, L.i.E. won 7 'fan-favorite' awards in Augusta's 15th annual Lokal Loudness choice awards poll that included "favorite lokal" band, song (Egomachine), vocalist, bassist, and drummer and are currently working on new material while performing locally and in our region of the southeast.
