Extended info

Those Poor Bastards play miserable and primitive old-time gothic country music. Lonesome Wyatt (guitar, vocals) and The Minister (banjo, bass, etc.) are both legally certified holiness preachers.
If you're looking for slick, over-produced, commercial songs, you'd better cover your delicate little ears. Those Poor Bastards play it raw and they play it mean. Be a pal and support independent anti-corporate country music.
Those Poor Bastards are:
Lonesome Wyatt – Vocals, Guitar
The Minister – Banjo, Bass, Percussion, Backing Vocal (Studio recordings)
Vincent Presley – Drums, Moog (Live shows)

Evil On My Mind.
Those Poor Bastards surround themselves with organs, pianos, and drums to create a terrible picture of mankind's impending doom. The vocals are drowned in reverb and piano melodies swirl like drunken vultures in an abandoned church. It's time to suffer friends. The plague is here.
"Unsettling gothic gospel altercations spun and thickened with a dark angst and a rustic atmosphere. Coarse vocals are set amidst a haunting cacophony of vintage instruments and cantankerous rhythms." - Maximum Ink Magazine
"Imagine Death himself plopping his ass down at your campfire with his pal and bandmate, Desperation, and they break out in song. What do you think that would sound like? I am gonna say Those Poor Bastards is pretty fucking close.
Turning down the country part of their doom-country sound to concentrate on the doom, I would be inclined to say that if there ever was to be a serial killer convention, The Plague would be the soundtrack. While this is probably their best effort to date, TPB still aren't for delicate ears. If you're in the mood for the sounds of heavy reverb, organs, filth and disease, then The Plague has what you're ailing for." – REAX Music Magazine.
