Мне прям разрекламировали этот альбом, дескать, перцы шапрят олдскул в клёвой современной обработке. Но вот вообще не зацепило.

Ну не олдскул, конечно. Чуть примодерновый, но без соплей. Не кепка метал...



И в целом весьма и весьма не плохо. Лично я буду слушать долго.

In that one song above, it was a bit too slow, but I liked the melodies. In ways reminded me of the first two Insomnium albums, which are their two best.

Militia, I don't think it's an album in vein of Insomnium works though I'm not so much familiar with the debut, checked it just a couple of times. Anyway, Insomnium play different kind of harmonic leads ever since Since The Day It All Came Down, adding some Finnish touch to their Swedish basis, while this record is much closer to traditional Swedish material, I suppose.

I only heard some Insomnium influences in that one song Slack showed me. After listening to more songs on the album, I can agree with you that it's not exactly like Insomnium. Regardless it's a pretty good band and I liked it.

Ты хочешь, чтобы тупо снимали 1 в 1? Тогда да, эскузи муа, хотя я думаю, что такое тоже есть, просто я не спец по этой части. Но если допустить, что время идёт и группы привносят-таки в стиль что-то своё, то Under Threat вполне годится в качестве примера. Опять же далеко не единственного.


I was sure they won't go unnoticed, some melodeath fans I know recommended them to me.

Well, I just checked a lot of bands during the past years since I tried to find more "like this" or "like that". Though as I mentioned, I know quite little about classic melodeath section and the bands that followed those patterns in 00s, not exactly the music I like. Although Insomnium and the bands they inspired are quite the deal for me (i.e. Be'lakor, Omnium Gatherum, Words of Farewell etc.)

Ну, новые песни на уровне старых, ничего крутого конечно, но в сумме получился добротный альбом повыше среднего уровня. Мне полюбилась еще старая песенка Function Or Perish, причем перезаписанный вариант оказался хуже . 6/10 релиз заслуживает.

Соляк в Armageddon In 16 To 9 очень клёвый. Вроде и ничего особенного, но цепляет. Да и в целом недурной альбомчик, хитовый. Немного модернятины всё же есть, как и кепки (в клипе).

на МеталАрее я понял, что вкуса у меня нет, и этот альбом мне понравился!

Действетильно есть пара-тройка риффов, напоминающих о старых добрых олдскульных вещах. Несколько алмазов в море унылой фигни. Пусть делают работу над ошибками и приходят на пересдачу с новым альбомом

разбавить плейлист свой такой музычкой всегда приятно

I enjoy all of Be'lakor albums, and that Words of Farewell album, too. But not so much Omnium Gatherum, Deadlock, MyGRAIN, stuff like that sounds a bit generic for me... = (

Альбом на пару раз, прогресса относительно 2009 нет, скорее просто довели материал до ума, в принципе для дебюта получилось очень даже неплохо. Стремительный, в меру мощный, по технике стандартный МДМ изредка с креном в сторону финоф. 6 из 10.

Omnium Gatherum were generic for 3-4 albums straight but after they switched to the current Insomnium worship they suddenly started writing pretty good stuff I think. As for Deadlock, they went away from melodeath completely now and even the previous offer, Bizarro World, was pretty much watered down and empty. They had a good mid career but probably won't release anything more of interest to me. MyGrain are one of my favourite modern melodeath bands, they stand apart from most of the scene, I guess their Finnish origins give them a more unique and different view on the style. Their s/t album was one of the best modern melodeath records I know. Besides, their singer is hell awesome and they have a lot of cool technical stuff in their songs. Though I remember you don't like cleans in mdm so no wonder it's not your thing

I doubt you will make friends with MyGrain but maybe there are chances for Omnium Gatherum and their New World Shadows and Beyond albums, the cleans are done by Dan Swanц after all Still they are quite scarce and most of the time they play it with awesome leads and keyboards.

Чего вам надо-то? Отличный mdm, достаточно быстрый и боевой. Вокал прям самое то, в том числе и выведен правильно. Есть несколько весьма забойных треков.
По крайней мере, из того шлака, что в последнее время выходит, весьма себе жемчужина.

Замечательный саунд, хороший вокал, клевые соло, достаточно качающая музыка - что еще надо от хорошего MDM? Шедевр не шедевр, а поклонникам жанра ознакомиться следует.
