Although a relatively "young" band (formed in late 2007), Dead Garden Cult quickly gained attention in the Croatian metal scene, with a "different understanding" of metal music. One could say that the music DGC plays today is directly inspired by bands that they liked most at the time, first and foremost, bands like Metallica, Slayer, Forbidden, Morbid Angel, Exodus, Death, Nevermore, Strapping Young Lad, Machine Head, Cynic and others alike.
In it's three-year existence, the band went throught numerous line-up changes, various difficulties, split-ups, etc., but still managed to release an EP and a live DVD and gained a large following with a diffirent approach to the metal genre. Currently a four-piece, DGC is working on a follow up to "Obsidian", promising a new level in their style and deliverance of extreme music.
