а кто истерит и чего стесняться? есть раздел для лоу, есть для повыше.

Many transcodes sound like garbage to me! Perhaps it is my 61 year-old ears after listening to Black/Death for over 30 years, but I hated the 2014 SUHNOPFER transcode that was first posted on MA. However, the replacement CD-rip (http://metalarea.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=238888&hl=SUHNOPFER), moved the release to my top 50 for 2014. I would not have even thought of buying a CD of the release before I heard the better rip, yet now a CD may be worth it.

Thus, we are not hearing the real releases from transcodes, and may be causing bands lost CD sales by using transcodes! I would vote that we at Metal Area should ban all transcodes if others are like me!

Практически согласен, только лучше иметь транскод, чем ничего.

No-one is forcing you to listen to a transcode...as long as we have spectra to check/releases are marked as transcodes it's up to the individual to make their own minds up. Lots of people would prefer something to wet their appetites than nothing. And I'd wager that most people can make a relatively decent judgement on the quality of the songwriting based upon a transcode...perhaps not the production but Black Metal from the 90's (and even some raw stuff produced today!) will sound worse.

Exactly. This is all free - so why be so picky? not like anyone looses the money downloading a 192k transcode of 128k.
Still, this topic should be moved to low bitrate so when better quality leaks it can be a new release.
