'Il Risveglio' shatters any previous conceptions that may have been held about the band. Stripped down, raw, punishing, but above all heavy, the band's second release, 'Il Risveglio' consists of 8 tracks but clocks in at just over 26 minutes. As the Dutch saying goes, “praatjes vullen geen gaatjes” and Meadows most certainly do not fuck around. Devastating riffs, crushing bass, blastbeats, and doom influences collide for a unique mix of grind and doom elements. With influences from contemporary Hardcore and Death metal acts like Nails and Harms Way, as well as the sonic legacy of the Stockholm bands like Entombed of the early 90's, the instrumental barrage is only matched by the depth and ferocity of the vocals.

Meadows are vocalist Bernard Jansen, guitarist Rinus Veldhuijzen, bassist Robin Zwiep (ex-Khaoz), and drummer Salvatore “Bat Tore” (ex-Ghjttatura).
