This band, in my opinion, was (along with Burzum '94-'96 era) was the originator of depressive black metal.
Originally this demo did feature just 1 track (1st edition is this one: https://www.discogs.com/Strid-Strid/release/3539674 ), only the Malicious Records' edition features 3 tracks.
EDIT: sorry mates, also the user Varganth has the same opinion, as he wrotes in this other Strid topic:

sorry, not really sure what you're trying to say. crazy.gif

I don't feel right calling this style simply "black metal" because it is far too slow and atmospheric.
I also feel like calling it "depressive black metal" is an insult to the band.
Therefore, in my opinion this is black/doom.

Correct, I just have always heard a very dark & depressive feeling, but both you and Borderline1991 are right: they for sure didn't play that kind of depressive B.M. as nowadays it has been intended (and played), so I don't want insult that great band at all! Just saying, I have myself other examples about the "black/doom" subgenre (finnish Unburied and early Barathrum, mainly), so I think isn't really correct to label Strid as black/doom... let's say, black metal (true norwegian B.M. 25.gif ) is enough... smile1.gif
