Sauts Monastery are one of a very small number of Malaysian acts that have ever come to my attention, and like most bands from Malay, their material is hard to obtain.
This is a rip of the first demo cassette from 1997. I've never owned this material, but this was sent to me by a band member during an email correspondence a while ago.
The band actually sound surprisingly fresh, the music is fast paced and aggressive, like a lot of black metal was in those days, and Eastern aggression has always been a part of the territory. I tend to find that Muslim/Shinto/Hindu/Buddhist nations really accentuate the "Extreme" in extreme metal.
A cursory search tells me that this is the first leak of this release, so hopefully it'll appease one or two of you wanderers. If nothing else, Bandwidth is cheap, right? Sorry about the 192 bitrate. There's no way I can legitimately boost it.
