Band statement: "We never described ourselves as Anti-Islamic Black Metal. We are against the religious establishment in all its forms and Islam is just one form of it."

Ayat (Arabic آيات) is the Arabic word for sign or miracle; it usually refers to each verse in the Qur'an.

Formed in September 2000 by Sadogoat and Filthy Fuck. In May 2001 drummer Ayman joined the band and left in November 2002. Ayat became inactive until June 2003, when they were reformed with Ayman and Commander as session members. Ayman left the band a month later while Commander stayed in the band a few more weeks before they stopped their activities again. In January 2004, Commander was replaced by Haytham, and the band became active again. In May 2004, the band announced they had completed 12 songs for the new album, "Kill, Fuck, Brothers, and Inhale for No Black Rain Shalt Hail". The album remained unreleased. Ayat never played live, but Reverend Filthy Fuck once helped دمار onstage.

At some point, the band stated on their homepage that they support "the total annihilation of mankind, mistreatment of women, torture of those who deserve it, and supreme fucking mayhem across all nations, religions and races of the earth".
