'Time moves onward to an end that none of us will ever see.'
ON051 & IX027 - "Caustic black metal and dense noise textures"
This gives me enormous pleasure to release an Ixian album. Daniel Shroyer is a musician, artist and DIY creator of physical releases I've admired for quite a few years. The project dances around so many styles; ambient to noise, black metal to industrial, dark electronics to doom sludge, cyber/grind/techno to post rock. All with monolithic riffs, epic ideas, encased in overwhelming and stunning productions.
We had chatted for a while about some kind of collaboration of our projects, and now I am incredibly pleased to include this monster on these pages. Within seconds of hearing 'This I Pray', I knew this was the one that had to be on Owlripper! I am thankful to Daniel for letting me post this here.
If your ears can't get enough of Dragged Into Sunlight, The Axis Of Perdition, Thantifaxath, Portal, Blut Aus Nord, Oranssi Pazuzu, Godflesh, Jute Gyte and that terrifying and beautiful Icelandic black metal atmosphere; then you will soon be immersed and addicted to this punishing yet cathartic album.

I urge you to dive right in to the Ixian discography. I can promise you a truly fantastical sonic expedition, with something different lurking in each one. In my mind, Ixian is up there as one of most important and inspiring lone musicians, and deserves all your attention.
