What is our fascination with the darker side of humanity? Is there some primal instinct built into our psyche that ignores our natural reaction to turn away from horrific events and instead urges us to look anyway? Is there some type of never satisfied appetite that drives us towards the continual pursuit of the unknown? To find the answers to the questions "Who?", "What?", "Where?", and the ever elusive "Why?" There is a very thin line that separates the thirst for knowledge and the addictions of obsession.

Set in the city of London during the year 1898, a new century approaches as the Victorian age draws to an end. It has been ten years since the horrific murders of Jack the Ripper gripped the city in fear. The darkness of those gruesome events still casts a grim shadow over the city and its citizens. An up-and-coming detective is thrown into a murder mystery involving the suspicious death of his former mentor the now retired retired Metropolitan Police Commissioner. The Detective has vowed to solve this case and begins to discover far more than he ever imagined. Clues and raised suspicions all lead to a twisted tale of betrayal, secret societies, and murder all seemingly linking back to the Ripper. Will the Detective uncover the long-hidden secrets of London’s sorted past or will he become a victim of his own unrelenting obsession?

"He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you." - Nietzsche
