Eventide is an Italian dead band and this promo-cd 'Subalterns' is the last thing that these four guys have done. A few lives shows with some most famous Italian band as Novembre (Century media rec.) and Ephel Duath (Earache rec.) and an old demo is the only things which we have of this band. Three tracks of pure gothic/doom metal with clean and scream vocals, keyboards, clean, distorted and acoustic guitars... a great e.p. Here we can listen some influences of Anathema, My Dying Bride and Amorphis... my favorite song is 'Solstice' with its keys/violins interval. Enjoy!
