Report:
Our first "studio" experience: our friends Valak lent us their small rehearsal
place and their mixer (not a recording one, unfortunatly). Our main aim was to keep costs low, then we decided anyway to use that mixer and our 20 euro worth soundcard.
Everything beside the vocals was then recorded in 20 hours.
The soundcard had only one input, and therefore all the drums were recorded on just one track and, due to pur budgetary constraints, even without panoramic microphoes. However, the result was better than our expectations: the record sounds ok, and almost everything is quite clean.
Quite a good result, keeping in mind that we had never recorded or used that
software.
