"Another tape containing Black Metal from Sweden released by Satanic Propaganda Records. I recently review Veinen, the Lebanese/Swedish band and I noted that they have, like many others, taken their name from a Von song. As most of you probably know there is a song by Von named "Chalice of Blood". I don't know if it was a coincident, I hope it's not, I pity those who have not heard Von. Musically this tape contains Black Metal, with simple riffs, nothing technical at all really, pounding drums, screamed growl vocals form the grave, a bass that might be there. The sound on this recording is like your average Black Meta demo usually is, muffled, raw but not inaudible. Although the band is from Sweden the music is more Norwegian but with a Swedish touch. The tape is a bit diverse, sometimes it sounds like they have listened to too much Darkthrone and Satyricon, other times they sound like they are one a Watain, Malign trip. I think the intent with this tape is to be a part of the growing so called Orthodox Black Metal movement, spearheaded by bands from Sweden. Not a bad attempt but they need to better their writing skills before they will be mentioned in the same sentence as Watain, Malign, Ofermod, Ondskapt and Heresi. "
